The Lady Spartans are coming off a 2007 campaign where the team recorded a 33-1 overall record
while capturing Conference, District, and Regional titles as well as a State Championship.
The 2008 season looks bright for the Lady Spartans despite losing 3 time all-stater Abby Schuller and
all-conference performer Mary Jo Albright to graduation. Five of the top seven players are back for the 2008
season and there is reason for optimism. Two seniors are the leaders of this years squad as All-Stater Sarah Eisenman returns
along with all-district performer Beth Cole. Each of these seniors have been varsity performers on 2 state
title and one runner-up state title teams. Add junior all-district player Brittney Cole and sophomore
all-stater Jocilyn Onnen and you can see why there is reason for optimism. Jennifer Simms will push for a varsity position
and help make the 2008 Lady Spartan team powerful once again. The Lady Spartans will be competing in Class 1A this after a
4 year stint in Class 2A.
