Middle School Physical Education

 

Class Rules: 3 B’s To Success

 

Be Safe

Be Responsible

Be Respectful              

 

Class Expectations:    

 

1. You are expected to come to PE class on time.

                  

2. You are expected to come prepared with appropriate class attire (Ex. T-shirt, shorts/sweats, sneakers, socks, towel).

 

3. You are expected to be on your best behavior in the locker rooms.

 

4. You are expected to wear your assigned heart rate monitor and chest strap every class (Unless we say otherwise).

 

5. You are expected to put forth your best effort each class

(Half of your grade is based on your effort, as measured by your heart rate data).

 

6. You are expected to be on task, follow class procedures, have a positive attitude, and display good behavior.

 

7. You are expected to show your understanding of the information covered in class (Ex. Quizzes, assignments, skills)

 

Daily Participation: What does a "A", "B", "C", "F" student look like?

A
Student is focused and on task throughout class, 7 or more days in an 8 day unit
Student has a positive attitude throughout class, 7 or more days in an 8 day unit
Student displays good behavior throughout class, 7 or more days in an 8 day unit
B
Student is focused and on task throughout class, 6 days in an 8 day unit
Student has a positive attitude throughout class, 6 days in an 8 day unit
Student displays good behavior throughout class, 6 days in an 8 day unit
 
C
Student is focused and on task throughout class, 5 days in an 8 day unit 
Student has a positive attitude throughout class, 5 days in an 8 day unit 
Student displays good behvior throughout class, 5 days in an 8 day unit

F

Student is focused and on task throughout class, 4 or less days in an 8 day unit
Student has a positive attitude throughout class, 4 or less days in an 8 day unit
Student displays good behavior throughout class, 4 or less days in an 8 day unit

   

**Attitude and Behavior will be assessed for each unit.
